The University Campus is within walking distance (few hundred meters) from all the hotels recommended and also from the train station (1.3 km).

Social Dinner
The social dinner will be held in the spectacular Ristorante Vetta on top of Monte S. Salvatore.
This mountain stands tall above the city and the lake with its highest point at 912 m. Who like to do hiking can also get to the top of it walking and enjoy a beautiful trail in nature, or one can just take a relaxing cable car ride up there (tickets are included in the registration). The views from up here are astonishing, S. Salvatore offers a 360° view of Lake Lugano, the city, and all the neighborhood.
Lugano
Lugano is the largest town in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino bordering Italy. It lies in a bay on the northern side of Lake Lugano (also called Lake Ceresio), surrounded by numerous mountains and offering splendid viewpoints.
With a population of 64 thousand people, Lugano is a major financial, banking and business center. Right next to the lake and surrounded by the mountains, it is a livable city of parks, flowers, villas and sacred buildings with a Mediterranean flair.
